Can I order by phone?
Sure! Call us at (706) 972-0089 between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM Monday - Friday. 
 

Why do you put "enjoy by" dates on your packages? 
Because we don't use any added preservatives in our products. There may be small amounts of preservatives in some of the ingredients we use to produce the popcorn, but we don't add any extra.  

What precautions are you taking for COVID-19?
We follow all safety directives from the Georgia Dept. of Agriculture for making the popcorn, including special COVID directives. 
Also, our contactless delivery protocol includes: 

  • our driver does not enter your delivery location unless it's a business that's open, or unless you specifically ask
  • our driver does not handle your popcorn after it leaves the kitchen.

What forms of payment do you accept? 
We take all major credit cards through our website. At certain events, such as festivals and farmers’ markets, we also accept cash, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and Venmo. 

Can I place a C.O.D. order? 
Sorry, but no. We require pre-payment of all regular orders. 

Do you take special orders? 
Yes, we do! Call us at (706) 972-0089 to discuss the flavors you want and your event date. Please give us at least two weeks' notice. 

I would love to have a popcorn bar at my wedding. Can you do that? 
Yes, we can! Just give us at least 6 weeks’ notice to give you an accurate quote and work with you. Call us at (706) 972-0089, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday - Friday.

My kid’s sports team needs a new fundraiser. Can you help? 
Sure, we can work out a fundraising deal for you! Give us at least 6 weeks’ notice before you want the campaign to begin, and call us at (706) 972-0089.

Why are your products available only in Georgia for now? 
Because we are operating under the state cottage food laws at this time, and we are limited to sales within the state. We need to grow before we’re able to operate under more flexible distribution laws. 

Why are you offering delivery just in Ellijay zip codes 30540 and 30536?Because we are a very small operation and we aren’t ready to expand our delivery service to other areas. Join our e-newsletter list to get updates on addition of new delivery routes as they're added. 

What does your delivery vehicle look like?
It's a silver Nissan pickup with "Neighborly" signs on the doors. 

Uh-oh, things have changed since I confirmed my delivery instructions. What should I do?
We get it. Stuff happens. Please contact us ASAP at (706) 972-0089 to give us alternate instructions or tell us where to leave your order. 

Do you sell your products at local stores?
Not yet! We need to grow before we can produce our goodies for wholesale distribution. We are planning to be at many of the Ellijay Farmers’ Markets, though. Join our e-newsletter list to be notified of our public sale dates. 

Do you pop your own corn or do you buy it already popped?
We pop our own corn in small batches of 10-14 cups each. We purchase our corn from a family farm in the USA. 

How do you develop your flavors?
We’re inspired by local flavors such as apples and peaches, honey, beers and wines. Plus, we do research! Before we opened, we asked family, friends, and some select focus groups to suggest flavor combinations, flavor profiles, and conducted recipe taste tests. If you’d like to be part of a future focus group or taste-testing event, e-mail us and we’ll let you know when it’s happening.

Why don’t you offer regular buttered popcorn or kettle corn? 
Because there are producers here in Ellijay who are already making those flavors, and doing it well! 

What local ingredients are you using? 
We are planning to use local products such as refined honey, to be used in our Honey Butter-Sea Salt flavor, and coffee, to be used in our Cafe Espresso flavor. We also plan to collaborate with local breweries and wineries for new and interesting flavors!

Why don’t you sell your popcorn in a resealable plastic bag?
Because many of our customers are concerned about the environment, and we are too, so we’re minimizing our plastic use where we can. Our signature kraft paper bags are resealable with a tin closure at the top, and lined with a thin biodegradable plastic, for freshness. Our shipping boxes are filled with recycled paper padding, not plastic or styrofoam peanuts.

How do I know if your product contains something I’m allergic to? 
For each flavor we offer, there is a detail page that lists the complete ingredients. Each package also has a label with the complete ingredients. If you have food allergies, please read the ingredients before ordering!

What’s your refund policy? 
Our refund policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we can’t offer you a refund. Refunds are given only if the wrong product was delivered. 
If you received the wrong product, send us an e-mail at heythere@neighborlypopcorn.com to request a refund. Don’t send your product back. We require a receipt or proof of purchase to issue a refund, and we will issue a refund within 10 days of receipt of the request.
